PRESTIGE, world leader in luxury motor yachts, launches its latest addition, the M8. Flagship of the M-Line multihull yacht range, Prestige M8 is distinguished by a unique configuration that affords the space and comfort equivalent to that of an 85-foot monohull superyacht, targeting the needs of the most demanding owners. With the M8, PRESTIGE offers an unprecedented cruising experience, in perfect harmony with the sea, more respectful of the environment and with a reduced fuel consumption. The twin hulls ensure natural stability and excellent seaworthiness.

The M8, flagship of the M-Line by PRESTIGE, represents the quintessence of our savoir-faire in terms of design, elegance, and fit and finish. I would like to underscore the unique character of PRESTIGE, the only Franco-Italian yacht builder in the world, today, combining the French mastery of serial production and Italian heritage in large yacht construction” confirms Erwin Bamps, Vice President of PRESTIGE.

Prestige M8

Built at the Groupe Beneteau Italia shipyard in Monfalcone, the new M8 was masterfully designed by Garroni Design, the studio that crafted the identity of PRESTIGE from its beginnings, over 30 years ago. The result is a unique and distinctive multihull yacht with unparalleled surfaces and dimensions, and a hull which, designed from the start uniquely for a motor yacht, offers the upmost comfort with over 270 m2 of living space and spacious suites.

The new M8 represents a concentration of innovation. Her contemporary lines, high-performance hull design, and innovative layouts place this new model at the top of the multihull motor yacht category. The exterior lines have been designed to reveal a bold, distinctive personality. Here, there is no reference to the world of sailing catamarans, as so often is the case. Proportions are typical of a powerful, contemporary motor yacht. The M8 is a true villa on the sea. The layout, living spaces, ease of movement and safety on board have been designed to optimize the experience of the owners and their family,” explains Camillo Garroni, designer of the M8.

PRESTIGE M8: smooth and fuel-efficient cruising

The new Prestige M8 is a multihull yacht designed for maximum comfort and well-being on board. Two hulls, rather than one, guarantee a smooth and linear cruising experience, ensure natural stability and perfect seaworthiness even in heavy seas. This multihull, equipped with twin Volvo D8 600HP engines, handles particularly well in maneuvers at port and enables guests to benefit from every living space in ideal conditions. Cruising aboard the M8 is a unique and eco-friendly experience thanks to her extraordinary fuel efficiency: the yacht, in fact, consumes half as much fuel than a monohull with the same volume of living space. As an option, the Silent Boat Pack integrates a large surface area of solar panels and a substantial lithium battery bank.

Prestige M8 exteriors

It is the team of Marc Lombard, world-renowned in the yachting world, who designed the hulls of the M8,” explains Rosalie Le Gall, Product Manager at PRESTIGE. “The power catamaran will be certified in category A; the hulls are designed for passing smoothly through the waves at any speed, for up to 20 knots. The multihull configuration offers great stability at anchor and while under way. The M8 offers the space and luxury equivalent to that of an 85-foot monohull, with much greater comfort and connection with the sea” , continues Rosalie Le Gall – “She consumes half the fuel, due to her lighter, lesspowerful engines. The systems on board have also been optimized in order to reduce energy consumption by 50%. With this, we can operate the yacht at night and several hours during the day, using only the batteries, affording a gentler lifestyle for all on board”

Modular exterior and a Miami-inspired atmosphere

The M8 offers a Miami-inspired elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, with streamlined and contemporary living spaces: each detail is carefully studied for an uncompromised luxury experience. The priority is placed on the most rigorous quality standards and customization, offering a variety of interior versions with new materials and colours, and a new finish worthy of the largest yachts.

“With this new project, PRESTIGE has once again raised the bar. You can see it, feel it, in the experience on board – confirms Valentina Militerno de Romedis, Interior Decorator – A multihull is, by definition, a platform for meeting, for sharing, but it is also a place where the sky and sea meet and merge, and it is from this that we drew the inspiration for the Miami color palette and concept. This city, always turned toward the future, is the symbol of modernity. The ocean that borders it represents an open horizon, shared freely by the sky and the sea. It is this atmosphere that guided us in the selection of colors, of new materials and new fabrics”.

dinette

Outdoor spaces such as the main deck, 32-square-meter cockpit, and flybridge are designed to allow for free movement on board and, of course, for maximum relaxation: with a large 4.20-meter-wide moving platform that serves as a beach club, a large locker for storing equipment and water toys, and a full steering position on the flybridge, on which is also a large lounging area, the M8 is ideal for enjoying the sea in all its facets.

Dreamlike interiors immersed in luxury

PRESTIGE’s new M8 offers an unparalleled luxury experience not only in her exterior, but also, and perhaps most importantly, in her interior spaces. Every detail of the design has been taken care of, with special attention paid to the refinement and quality of the materials used, all of which are high-end and exceptionally refined. The living spaces are large and flooded with natural light, with a U-shaped galley and a modular salon that spans almost 50 m2. The master stateroom then is like a real private apartment reaching an unparalleled 30 m2 of luxury, which also distinguishes the three additional guest cabins, including a VIP suite.

Prestige M8 dinette

It can clearly be said that the M8 sets herself a no small goal of redefining standards of well-being on board, offering everyone the opportunity to share precious moments at sea by reconnecting with nature, reconnecting with it, themselves and others in a spacious, refined, light-filled environment: this is the Art de Vivre offered by the new M8.

Designed for owners wishing to explore the world and enjoy their privacy along the way while entertaining guests in the most luxurious comfort, the EXPV, an 87-metre explorer yacht issued from a joint collaboration between Harrison Eidsgaard and Feadship, takes a completely new and unconventional approach.

EXPV Yacht explorer

A change of course from the classic explorer yacht stylistic features that sees the owner and guest’s accommodation completely separated, hence the characteristic “split” superstructure with the owner’s private space in the forward section and the guest area aft.

The whole concept is based on the premise that the owners have their own residence and there is a separate guest house for friends and visitors,” said Peder Eidsgaard, co-founder of Harrison Eidsgaard – “The idea is that the owners can spend weeks on board in full privacy, but also interact with their guests in the ocean lounge in the middle of the boat”.

EXPV: a glass heart for a bright soul

Another stunning innovation is the so-called Glass Bridge, a long crystal telescope that allows anyone standing next to the flagpole at the yacht’s stern to look all the way to the bow, replacing the classic ‘compactness’ of this type of vessel with a visual lightness provided by the large windows and the light flooding the rooms.

EXPV Yacht explorer

We’ve collaborated with Harrison Eidsgaard on various projects and they always throw a few challenges into the mix,” says Jan-Bart Verkuyl, Feadship director and CEO Royal Van Lent shipyard. “The Glass Bridge was one such challenge and we worked closely with the De Voogt engineers to see how we could make that work. Suspended in mid-air, it’s a completely new idea and quite a feat of engineering.”

At the bow, above the observation room, the EXPV also features a helipad with direct access to the owner’s quarters so that he can move around freely, while at the stern there is space for two 13.5-metre tenders.

The clients like to use their helicopter almost as a tender for commuting to and from the yacht on day trips,” says Verkuyl. “It hugely extends the area they can visit and is used frequently, but because it’s on the forward deckhouse there is minimal disturbance for the guest activities in the stern.”

Separate but connected spaces

In a completely new solution on an explorer yacht, the EXPV has six guest suites arranged around the stern on two deck levels and all featuring sea-facing beds with private terraces, a style very reminiscent of cruise ships, and the cabins can also be combined into very spacious VIP suites depending on the number of guests on board.

EXPV Yacht explorer

The Master Suite, on the other hand, is located behind the helm station, full beam on the deck below and above a private observation lounge with large windows and a private terrace towards the bow. The ultimate for an explorer yacht.

The two areas are connected by a large Ocean Lounge that is in fact the only place where the owner and his guests can meet, according to a concept studied down to the tiniest detail to confer maximum privacy.

This is a yacht designed for experienced owners who like to spend long periods on board with guests who might join them for a week, a month or even more, so privacy was an essential consideration,” says Eidsgaard. “The idea is that the owners can spend weeks on board in full privacy, but also interact with their guests in the Ocean Lounge in the middle of the boat.”

Starting over

When we started this project, we took all the features you find on superyachts and threw them up in the air,” Eidsgaard explains. “The pieces landed where you might not expect to find them, but where they might make more sense. The two deckhouses are unique and no other superyacht has them, but the profile with its reverse bow, bold use of glass and dynamic curves is very purposeful.”

In addition to the Glass Bridge, this revolutionary design posed other engineering challenges for Feadship’s technical team. The Ocean Lounge amidships meant that even the position of the engine room had to be completely rethought and therefore designed on a single level for diesel-electric propulsion, but also ready to be integrated with renewable fuels and above all silent.

EXPV Yacht explorer

EXPV represents perhaps the ultimate evolution in the world of explorer yachts, an exaltation of beauty and luminosity incorporated in a yacht designed to allow continuous living at sea for weeks or months at a time, but in the utmost privacy and comfort for the owner and the guests that from time to time join him on board.

An innovative concept that can be described in just two words, just as Harrison Eidsgaard likes to remind us: ‘Radical but logical’.

Rossinavi took part in the Monaco Yacht Show with its latest additions that mark a significant step forward in the path of sustainable innovation undertaken by the shipyard.

Visitors had the opportunity to appreciate the Italian shipyard’s constant research and development advances, fully immersing themselves in the technology behind BlueE and the study of different marine implementation models that have led to the birth of Sea Cat and Oneiric, the new family of electric and sustainable catamarans that represent Rossinavi’s innovation at its best.

In a booth that was a mix of the creativity of a street artist, who hand-drew the lines, and the technology of dynamic screens, Rossinavi first presented the technology encapsulated in their recently launched BluE philosophy, the result of their exploration into sustainable yachting.

Originally presented in June during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan with an immersive installation reminiscent of an underwater experience, BluE’s main vision and inspiration is phytoplankton. Composed of microscopic marine algae that have the ability to produce oxygen during photosynthesis and convert sunlight into energy for their survival, phytoplankton, and its ability to accumulate energy during the day and release it at night, was the inspiration behind SeaCat and Oneiric.

Rossininavi sostenibilità

In the same way, this line of catamarans is designed to absorb sunlight during daylight hours and transform it into clean energy, exploiting the capabilities of the photovoltaic system. But that’s not all: everything in the superyachts is designed to be 100% sustainable, such as the hull- a catamaran- an excellent compromise between movement and stability, with high efficiency and low friction when coming into contact with water.

Three levels of solar panels, perfectly integrated into the design, then allow for 100% electric sailing on day trips, and over 80% of the trip in all-electric mode on an Atlantic crossing: virtually a daydream where you are enveloped only by silence and the wonderful sound of the sea.

sostenibilità

“This is something that goes beyond a project; in fact, earlier this year, Rossinavi carried out some tank tests on a scale model of a catamaran at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, and the results were exciting: “Our efforts are currently focused on a new generation of boats” – says Federico Rossi, Rossinavi’s Chief Operating Officerand we were incredibly proud to see that the model we used in Gothenburg worked perfectly, staying within the range we had calculated”.

The future is knocking at the doors, including those of Yachting, which is taking important steps. The Monaco Boat Show was indeed a landmark in this 2022 from the sustainability point of view, and Rossinavi certainly made it clear that the direction to follow is the green one and the protection of our seas: there is a long way to go, but it is always the first step that starts the journey.

Majesty 160: new composite-built superyacht unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show

One new Gulf Craft project was announced during the Monaco Yacht Show: the brand-new Majesty 160.

This innovative, elegant and sustainable superyacht is distinguished by a composite hull, which is not surprising as the company is the world’s leader in composite hull production.

Sustainability is a choice on the part of Gulf Craft that leaves a recognisable mark on the launch of each new vessel. An evolution of the Majesty 155, the Majesty 160 takes its design cues from the iconic Majesty 175 which, moreover, is the world’s largest composite-built production superyacht.

This new model is also designed by Italian studio Cristiano Gatto Design and is capable of impressing in every respect.

But let’s discover the new Majesty 160 together:

gulf craft 160

The exterior is elegant, featuring an expansive sun deck, modular furnishings and an incredible infinity pool with a breathtaking panoramic view. All elements are customisable and perfect for improved conviviality aboard.

Key features also include a beach club – a customisable multi-purpose space that can be used as a lounge or bar area, a gym, or a health club. The swim platform provides guests unprecedented ease of access to the water while the fold-down balconies located on both the portside and starboard side of the platform allow for sunbathing throughout the day.

gulft craft majesty

The interiors reflect the same sophistication as the outdoor areas: sober, delicate and cosy, carefully thought out in every detail, with no constraints between them.

Luxury is tangible everywhere but the most notable feature is the phenomenal and contemporary-styled Master Suite. Ideally located at the end of the foreward main deck corridor, the suite includes a private lounge, a large ensuite with both bath and shower room, retractable balcony and a full-beam Master cabin.

gulf craft interno

In addition to her elegant exteriors and luxury interiors, the Majesty 160 has an innovative climate control system, two pairs of zero-speed carbon fin stabilisers, two wing stations on the main deck that enables smooth manoeuvring and an optional helm station on the sun deck.

The composite-built hull of the new Gulf Craft’s superyacht provides absolute sturdiness, resistance and light weight.

Drawing just 2.3 metres of water, this superyacht can effortlessly cruise low-draft areas.

Majesty 160 is capable of achieving a top speed of 19.5 knots and a cruising speed of around 12.

Last but not least, a sustainability-focused innovation: the boat is equipped with some solar panels at the top of the sun deck roof capable of powering one of the four generators, thus limiting overall energy consumption.

At this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the word ‘sustainability’ resounded frequently through the halls, where a large number of improvements appeared in various sectors of the yachting industry to make engines, furnishings, consumption and much more sustainable.

Sustainability monaco SYBAss MYS

While it is clear that behind this transition there is certainly an economic driver, which obviously has to be taken into account given the current historical period, there is also a sort of collective consciousness that is increasingly pushing both manufacturers and customers in this direction.

It was on this very basis that the Sustainability Conference organized by SYBAss (Superyacht Builders Association), together with the Water Revolution Foundation and the Superyacht Life Foundation, was held at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 in the Principality of Monaco.

At the centre of the panel, moderated by Tony Harris, Superyacht Industry Ambassador, were the developments that this sector is pursuing in order to make production processes more efficient and long-lasting, and what progress the superyacht industry is making in the field of sustainability.

Sustainability monaco SYBAss MYS

The Monaco Yacht Show was originally born under the banner of sustainability– confirmed Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show – We are committed to a more sustainable event, and we already have solutions in place. Moreover, the Sustainability Hub highlights sustainable solutions and projects that help reduce the superyacht environmental footprint with the support of the yachting industry and with the help of Water Revolution Foundation. The Hub has start-ups specialising in technology, solutions and eco-friendly concepts, and it is set to take a leading role in showcasing innovative and future superyachting solutions”.

“Yachting is the only maritime sector that has a dedicated non-profit organisation for tackling its environmental impact, and there’s a huge amount you can gain in terms of efficiency to share what has been worked on – and the results of – research and development,” said Robert van Tol of Water Revolution Foundation – “Where commercial ships just use the oceans to transport goods from A to B, yachting has an extra connection – it is our back garden. As an organisation we focus on reducing the negative impacts on the environment but also on ocean conservation, which is an opportunity to have a collective positive impact. This is a growing initiative and more and more companies are coming on board”.

SYBAss MYS

Philippe Briand presented technical detail on how yacht design can make a significant difference in the efficiency of vessel while Giedo Loeff, head of research and development at Dutch superyacht builder Feadship, focused on how Feadship’s research over the past 15 years has focused on the transition to renewable fuels: embodied by the recent Pure yacht concept, Feadship outlines a roadmap for 2030 that focuses on alternative fuels such as methanol and hydrogen.

Last but not least, Baltic Yachts CEO Anders Kurtén addressed the build side of the industry, outlining how Baltic Yachts has been taking steps to incorporate more renewable, recycled or alternative materials in yacht construction – for example, using flax in place of glass fibre or carbon in hull and frame construction.

A superyacht is a product that exists for one reason – to put a smile on the owner’s face – Mr. Kurtén enthused. “Seeing as the world is changing, we’d like to act in a way by which they can continue to buy a yacht with a good conscience. We believe that our customers represent about 0,003 percent of the global population but as they control 15 percent of global assets, their actions are lighting the way as thought leaders. There’s no silver bullet but sustainability is achieved by focusing on multiple small details all combined. And our customers collaborate with us to create sustainable solutions.”

sustainability in yachting

In short, the track becomes more defined with each passing year and the road is taking shape, heading in the right direction. Having spoken about and emphasized once again the importance of sustainability at the Monaco Yacht Show, is proof of how initiatives like this are increasingly involving the major shipyards, which are the most important players in this epochal change in the yachting sector.

A strong signal, as Robert van Tol points out in conclusion “Our aim with the Conference was to show that the industry is really making progress in this area of sustainability, and to inform the media and the wider public about all of the new developments that are going on in the background both with existing and established builders and suppliers but also with new companies that are innovating in this sector and attracting investment in this sector ”.

wallywind130 and wallywind150 expand the Wally family

While building continues on the wallywind110, the Wally shipyard does not stop: the in-house design team headed by Luca Bassani, in fact, has been working hand-in-glove with renowned naval architect firm judel+vrolijk & co and design studio Santa Maria Magnolfi to develop the new wallywind130 and wallywind150 sailing superyachts.

Both models respect the values that characterize the Monaco-based brand, part of the Ferretti Group: a carbon hull highlighting performance potential, clean lines, and an elegant interior combining functionality and hedonism.

Wally is re-affirming its sailing roots with the launch of these designs,” says Wally Managing Director Stefano de Vivo.Alongside the wallywind110, the wallywind130 and wallywind150 represent the pinnacle of carbon composite construction for blissful cruising and exhilarating racing. We liken the boats to the Grand Turismo cars, which is to say powerful and supremely comfortable. I believe these are the best round-the world sailing machines ever created.”

The wallywind150 – adds Wally Founder and Chief Designer Luca Bassani is the natural evolution of the Wally144 Kauris IV launched in 2020. It includes some Wally iconic features, such as the cockpit protected by the high bulwarks, the Terrace-on-the-sea and the raised saloon. On the other hand, it also introduces a few more revolutionary features such as the forward guest area which doubles as a tender garage when not in use, a truly private owner’s terrace aft as well as a new interior layout to enhance flexibility for the owner.”

Wally wallywind130 esterno

Exteriors reflect Wally’s DNA

The main strength of the wallywind130 and the wallywind150 is the clean design, with a huge raised salon that flows smoothly into the cockpit without a single change in levels. No fewer than three social zones occupy more than a third of the boat’s length to create an entertaining space that is unparalleled on yachts of this size. Among them is the famous ‘Terrace-on the sea” that Wally pioneered in 1998 with Tiketitan. Twin helm stations are discretely positioned just inside the raised bulwarks, allowing guests to be as involved in the sailing.

Sail controls and navigation displays are set amidships, but there is barely a rope to be seen. Wally’s Magic Trim system means that the main and self-tacking jib are set and adjusted at the push of a button using hidden hydraulic rams. Just the gigantic, custom-made spinnaker sheet winches on the quarter give the game away.

Wally wallywind150 interno

Beneath the foredeck is hidden a tender well for storing a generously sized tender (4.50m – 14’ 9’’ – on the wallywind130; 5.00+m – 16’ 4’’ – in the wallywind150) completely out of sight. On the wallywind150, this well doubles as a forward guest cockpit that can be converted into a cushion-lined dining area or lounge.

Transom houses an hydraulic passerelle that stows flush and can be angled up to the quayside or down for elegant access to the water.

Technology at the service of performance

The full carbon construction guarantees exceptional hull stiffness, rapid acceleration and great response on the helm. Full pre-preg vacuum lamination with careful post curing at 85°C ensures that lamination is flawless and weight is kept to an absolute minimum.

A retractable keel system allows both superyachts to switch from performance to shallow-waters cruising mode. The twin rudder setup similarly balances fingertip control under way with easy access.

A variable pitch propeller provides optimum thrust under power while folding under sail to offer almost no drag. Bow and stern thrusters round out the manoeuvrability of the new wallywind line, which naturally uses Wally’s underwater anchor launching system to keep the purity of the lines around the bow and move the weight aft to reduce pitching.

Central to both boats’ design is Wally’s smart “double deck” layout, which puts the forward cockpit under the spectacular coachroof. It features an almost dreamlike structure combining carbon ribs with vast curved panes of glass and delicately lit panels. The result is a breath-taking view, a spectacular dining zone and a scenographic open-air lounge.

Wally wallywind150 esterno

Endless cruising possibilities aboard wallywind130 and wallywind150

Below deck, the wallywind130 an accommopdate up to 8 guests, giving the owner the choice of a cabin forward or right aft where the broader beam allows facilities including a private TV lounge and a vast head.
The wallywind150, on the other hand, can accommodate up to 10 guests, with the master cabin positioned aft to exploit the private access to the cockpit. The latter can be left open to maximize outdoor living, or closed to separate the interior space of the owner’s accommodation from the outside.

The suite with built-in wardrobes, walk-in wardrobe, private office and various seating areas is equal in comfort and volume to that of a 60-metre yacht.

The TV or games room forward can easily be converted into a fifth cabin to accommodate children or a nanny.

The finishes are at the owner’s discretion and the renderings, although they are for illustrative purposes, show what a refined and elegant ambience can be achieved, preferring an essential and natural style typical of the Monaco brand: teak, precious woods and upholstery in neutral colours that combine to create a sense of space, well-being and sophistication.

Amer Steel 41M Explorer: at the Monaco Yacht Show Amer Yachts presents a new design which is a mix of luxury, technology and innovation.

Amer Yachts raises the bar in the segment of eco-friendly and emission-conscious sustainable superyachts with the presentation of the new Amer Steel 41M Explorer at the last Monaco Yachts Show.

This new yacht, commissioned by its owner at the beginning of the year and with delivery planned for 2025, will represent a real concentration of innovation, technology and design. Tangible innovations are embodied in the design of a hull that will be built using innovative techniques and shapes. The yacht will be equipped with an advanced propulsion system, extremely silent and capable of noticeably reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

Also innovative is the system used for launching and recovering tenders, created to make all operations faster thanks to integrated cranes. The service boats will be housed in the centre of the yacht, in the foredeck well, which will also be able to hold two large ones.

Amer Steel 41M Explorer will be able to accommodate up to ten guests in the five cabins on board while eight berths have been provided for the crew.

The design of this superyacht has been entrusted to Luiz de Basto, who has designed a very sinuous and elegant line for both the exterior and interior.

The decks will be walk-around for high-level liveability and comfort, even while under way; the Main Deck will feature large windows ensuring constant contact with the sea. The Lower Deck, on the other hand, will house a relaxation area in the stern and a helicopter landing strip in the bow. The Sun Deck will have two living/relaxing areas aft and forward.

On-board equipment apart, the clean and refined design is combined with impressive performance. Amer 41M Explorer will reach a top speed of 15 knots, with a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. The beam will be 9.7 metres and the draft only 2.2 metres.

The design, from naval architecture to executive engineering, has been commissioned to the Italian company Optima Design.

X30 Villa: Extra Yachts revolutionizes the large-sized catamaran segment https://www.superyachts.news/x30-villa-extra-yachts/ https://www.superyachts.news/x30-villa-extra-yachts/#respond Fri, 26 Aug 2022 10:50:49 +0000 https://www.superyachts.news/x30-villa-extra-yachts/ With the new X30 Villa, Extra Yachts not only launches a new line of motor catamarans but definitively revolutionizes the market for large-sized multihulls, finally managing to effectively unite this market with that of superyachts. With the new X30 Villa, Extra Yachts not only launches a new line of motor catamarans but definitively revolutionizes the market for large-sized multihulls, finally managing to effectively unite this market with that of superyachts.

This is an exercise that clearly has countless advantages but which, until the arrival of the X30 Villa, had limited itself to producing a series of yachts that, if other yards don’t mind me saying so, were limited to “imitating” the design of large sailing catamarans (obviously eliminating the mast), without however managing to find its own way, i.e. a design style dedicated and functional to motor yachts.

With this new model Extra Yachts, the Isa brand dedicated to building boats that can guarantee a more immersive contact with the marine environment, succeeds in fact in combining the liveability of a multi-level villa with the efficiency of a catamaran.

The exterior design is unmistakable and retains the shipyard’s DNA, based on the extensive use of panoramic glass, the presence of large social areas and an open stern that facilitates access to the sea.

The X30 Villa features a huge aft cockpit, which can be configured in any way through the use of freestanding furniture. This area is protected by a glass balustrade that does not obstruct the view. The submersible bridge, when aligned with the side platforms, also creates a very large beach club that, while allowing direct contact with the sea, also supports a tender of over 5 metres as well as other water toys.

A special feature of the layout is that the VIP cabins have direct access to the transom to enjoy the sea without having to cross the interior.

The main deck of the X30 Villa features very high ceilings and large panoramic windows to maximise external views while letting natural light flood the interior. The layout is divided into convivial areas on different levels, allowing for a break in continuity. One of the options is an open floor plan that includes a main salon, a library corner, a bar and an open kitchen, which casually flow into each other, dominated by the raised helm station and the observatory.

The interior is characterised by special architectural solutions such as the geometry of the ceiling that extends outwards at the top aft to create the illusion of a much larger convivial area with the saloon doors open. Freestanding furniture and accessories on the aft cockpit have been chosen to further amplify the interior atmosphere of this outdoor area.

Urban details combine with earthy materials in a softer visual language. The winding walls flow seamlessly into uprights and are finished with textured plaster. Polished concrete panels are complemented by stone window tops creating contrasts with matt metal and walnut furniture. Raised skylights flood the desaturated oak parquet flooring with areas of carpet and simulated concrete for a warm yet industrial look.

The master cabin is a true masterpiece of innovation. Conceived as a private destination in which to spend time in an idyllic setting, it features a relaxation area with sofas and a sleeping area positioned amidships, while the head with a private spa is located on a lower level, divided between the port and starboard hulls.

Nestled forward between the two hulls, the owner’s stateroom’s sea-view terrace can be lowered to offer exceptional views while maintaining maximum privacy. Glass doors can close the terrace to offer protection from wind, noise and weather.

“What if perfection had a shape?”. With this slogan, Absolute Yachts has launched the new renderings of its flagship, the Absolute Navetta 75, a motor yacht that aims to offer owners the ultimate in excellence. Already looking at these images you can admire the perfection, harmony and absolute balance of the Absolute Navetta 75, in which every detail has been studied to be unique and captivating, reflecting the unmistakable and very elegant style of the shipyard. absolute navetta 75 esterniIn the Absolute Navetta 75 the glass parapets and large windows offer an unobstructed panoramic view of the sea, and the large high-ceilinged spaces are designed on a single level to ensure maximum comfort on board. Furthermore, the presence of accessible covered walkways in the interior areas guarantees unparalleled ease of use. However, the most magical place is the aft cockpit, designed as a terrace with open stringers and a glass rear railing: this is where Absolute’s idea of offering an unlimited cruising experience comes to fruition, as it is an area with modular rather than fixed furnishings, which can therefore be easily changed according to the owner’s needs, guaranteeing an impeccable on-board experience from morning to night. Other highlights of the Absolute Navetta 75 are the large stern platform and the flybridge, another area that offers the highest level of versatility and liveability, with a huge sundeck at the bow overlooking the sea, a majestic terrace at the stern to admire the horizon from the highest point and, last but not least, a single space comprising galley, dining area and wheelhouse that forms the centre of the deck.

The very high level of technology with which this boat is equipped allows for complete control over mooring manoeuvres without giving up good times with friends. Moreover, two stairwells allow the crew to move easily wherever they need to go, guaranteeing privacy without interfering with guests. Lastly, the interiors are characterized by cosy, spacious rooms with high quality Italian-made finishes. Generously lit by large windows, the living areas on the main deck are furnished with elegant sofas and design elements to which the Absolute style has accustomed us. The interior galley is also very versatile, with a wall that opens onto the dining room and easy access to the outdoor spaces, in a perfect combination of style, comfort and functionality to feel at home.

On the intermediate level between the lower deck and the main deck is the owner’s forward cabin, an oasis of privacy, tranquillity and comfort: it is in fact a full-beam room with private access and head. On the lower deck is the rest of the sleeping area, arranged as on larger yachts, with two double cabins with en-suite bathrooms and a twin cabin that comfortably accommodates guests amidships. The crew quarters located aft are also designed for functionality and privacy, with private head and galley.

DeepSeaker: above and below water with zero emissions

A futuristic boat with which it will be possible not only to speed through the water at 30 knots, but also to dive and enjoy the wonders of the seabed. All without polluting the environment, thanks to electric propulsion. What until a few years ago might have seemed only a dream or a hypothesis about a very distant future is now becoming reality thanks to DeepSeaker DS1, the hydrofoil-submarine designed by the Italian innovative start-up iSpace2o, which has announced the official start of production.

The milestone was made possible by substantial funding from Invitalia and the start of an industrial collaboration with William Gobbo’s Sealence, which will supply the electric powertrain to the jet. The stylistic lines of the hull, on the other hand, are signed by the Giancarlo Zema Design Group studio, while the construction and fine-tuning of the craft will be handled by Blaze Performance, the Formula 1 H2O team.

deepseakerThe DeepSeaker DS1 was originally conceived as a range accessory for the on-board toys of super yachts, but its developers recognized its enormous market potential also as a stand-alone nautical tool, with which to organize, for instance, evocative underwater sightseeing trips to archaeological sanctuaries under the coast or to admire the great coral reefs that already offer incredible spectacles of underwater nature in just a few metres of water. Again, if we think of the large aquariums scattered around the world, by equipping themselves with DeepSeakers they will be able to offer their visitors a breathtaking and immersive experience. It is no coincidence that the first ten DeepSeaker units have already been optioned by one of the largest international shipping groups, which will use them as a means of entertainment for passengers on their cruise ships.

The characteristic feature of the DeepSeaker is to guarantee maximum safety for passengers on board while at the same time respecting the surrounding environment. In fact, engineer Giuseppe Carusi, CEO of the start-up iSpace2o, explains: “The technology is now mature and this kind of boat is becoming increasingly popular around the planet . Thanks also to its industrial partners, iSpace2o has the ability to position itself at the apex of this market thanks to a very high level of technology and a unique design, elements that are not always found in the products of its competitors”. iSpace2o is thus becoming another Italian company whose goal is to change the way people go to sea, always with the utmost respect for the ecosystem.
