A new flagship from Columbus Yachts is ready to ply the seas: Atlantique 65 Instant Classic is the latest 65m addition from the shipyard, a Palumbo Superyachts brand, with sinuous lines and full of innovative contents. It represents a natural evolution of the line, available in four versions of 37m, 43m, 47m and 55m with two 43m models and one 47m model currently in production.

Atlantique 65 Instant Classic stems from Columbus Yachts’ desire to seek innovative solutions for its models without ever radically altering them, so as not to detract from the classic beauty that distinguishes all of the brand’s work.

ATLANTIQUE 65 INSTANT CLASSIC 2Innovation is incremental and with the Atlantique 65 Instant Classic the shipyard try to summarize the future of luxury yachting and the values underlying the brand in a single model.

“This new 65-metre is the natural evolution of a range that is giving us so much satisfaction. ” comments Giuseppe Palumbo, founder and CEO of Palumbo Superyachts.“An even more detailed and sinuous exterior design, where the bridges have such a masterfully balanced and light structure to give the impression that they are suspended. Enrico Lumini and the entire Hot Lab team have marked another incredible milestone in the history of the Columbus shipyard.”

Innovation and exterior design

The external volumes are characterized by perfectly coherent, clean lines that run seamlessly from stern to bow, creating smooth, polished, rigorous surfaces. Great attention was paid to the proportions, so that the solids and voids areas are always perfectly balanced, from any angle.

One of the major innovations of the Atlantique 65 Instant Classic concerns the attention paid to the three-dimensional composition of this superyacht: a study that has led not to think from the profile and then somehow to obtain a three-dimensional version, but rather to sculpt an already smooth stone, already proportionate in order to obtain a shape that is always naturally fluid and coherent. Atlantique 65 Instant Classic

The initial ‘rough’ shape is comparable to a marble block that is first polished and then perfected by adding the details that make it unique, like a work of art, and this was also done for the Atlantique 65 Instant Classic.

“The fundamental idea was to create a volume characterized by great linearity and stylistic coherence, without redundancies, without excesses: an elegant and clean look as if stemmed from a sailboat or a 50s sports car. No concessions to stylistic superstructures, but only clean, clear-cut, essential traits. says Enrico Lumini of Hot Lab. “With this primary aim, an innovative yacht by an unexpected appearance was generated, which finds its most radical expression in its extreme dryness and which at the same time shows itself in all its elegance with a style that seems to have always been there before our eyes.”

Atlantique 65 Instant Classic – Interior

The innovations of the new Columbus Yachts’ flagship are not limited to the exteriors, but rather find even better expression in the interior layout.The Pool Terrace is a clear exmaple of this: an infinity pool on a deck that is neither the main deck nor the aft swim platform, but something else. A terrace in fact, raised just enough to allow three small, yet significant, innovations at the same time: the full-height entrance to the aft beach club, almost as if it were a SPA overlooking a garden;

the terrace effect of the pool space, which allows guests to enjoy the best possible view of the surrounding environment;the privacy of the external space on the main deck, which is somehow protected by the volume of the terrace itself, allowing guests to enjoy an openspace that is generallyless used, especially when in a port. Atlantique 65 Instant Classic interior

However, it’s in the bow where we find the best combination between layout and design: the objective of containing the overall height and therefore developing a three-deck closed layout inevitably involves the need to position the helm station on the upper deck and consequently have the owner cabin on the main deck without the classic forward view. It is in fact a semi-duplex cabin, with a first compartment dedicated to an office, walk-in closet and main room, and a more forward second section comprising a bathroom and a raised sitting room.

In this way the cabin enjoys a ceiling higher than 3 metres, infinite skylights, spaces worthy of much larger boats than this Atlantique 65 Instant Classic and even private access to the bow Jacuzzi.

The layout is such to accommodate up to 12 guests in 4 VIP cabins located below deck, the owner cabin on the main deck and a fifth VIP cabin on the upper deck. Additional 10 cabins are assigned to the 16 crew the Captain.

Powered by two MTU 12V4000M63 engines of 1500kW each, the Atlantique 65 Instant Classic has a rated top speed of 17.5knots, while the cruising speed is 14 knots and the range at 11 knots is 5500 miles.

The new immense 75.50-meter superyachts Feadship Project 822 is about to be completed at the Dutch shipyard that specializes in building huge fully customizable vessels.

Spotted in all its entirety and majesty was the hull of Feadship’s latest addition, Project 822, which had not been heard from since September 2021 when the bare metal structure entered the Shipyard for assembly. Since then, Feadship’s secrecy has been exemplary; no one has been able to follow the progress of the work, shrouding this yacht more and more in mystery.

Now, ready to be tested and launched, Project 822 has emerged from dry dock at the Royal Van Lent shipyard onKaag Island, marking the third major launch of 2023, following the acclaimed 67.4-meter Feadship SIBELLE in March and the impressive 84.2-meter OBSIDIAN unveiled in April.

822

Project 822 is scheduled for delivery by the end of the year, and more details will be revealed by the Shipyard itself over the next few weeks at the official launch. The exterior design is by British firm RWD, which also collaborated on the interior design, with Seattle-based interior design firm “Susan Young Interiors.”

The naval architecture and engineering of the Feadship Project 822 yacht (where 822 is the hull number of the Royal Van Lent) is by the Dutch shipyard’s own De Voogt Naval Architects. The steel and aluminum hull is 75.7 meters long overall and has a beam of 13.6 meters,  the top deck has been mounted and the mast attached, and the boat will also be equipped with two shaftline engines. exit 822

The launch of the hybrid superyacht Obsidian last April has for sure marked the future of the Dutch shipyard, which is pursuing its goal of producing large “carbon neutral” vessels by 2030.

Feadship, a company specializing in the creation of pure custom supeyachts and recognized as one of the  world leaders in the industry, has been in business since 1949 but has much deeper roots reaching back nearly a century earlier.

With Project 822 another Feadship secret has been partially unvealed. While waiting to hear when this majestic and elegant superyacht will be launched we can appreciate its exterior design and the bespoke customizations that make this shipyard so special. feadship 822

The prestigious CARINTHIA VII superyacht, designed by the renowned Tim Heywood, is back in the limelight in the eyes of enthusiasts and professionals in the nautical sector. Indeed, after being sold by Fraser to her new owner, for what has been billed as the industry’s biggest sale in 2022, the impressive vessel has undergone a refined refit at the shipyard of Lürssen in Hamburg, and the result promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.

We will have to wait a little longer before we can see it, it will in fact be unveiled for the first time at Monaco Yacht Show, which will take place from 27 to 30 September: the refit works mainly involved the redesign of the spacious external decks, which now boast new and refined lounge and living areas, further increasing comfort and style. A considerable challenge considering that we are talking about a charter famous for its majesty and an unparalleled level of craftsmanship, engineering and style used in its creation.

Nicknamed “Project Faberge” during her construction phase, CARINTHIA VII literally represents a milestone in the history of Lürssen and in the world of yachting. Her exterior lines, signed by award-winning super yacht exterior designer Tim Heywood , redefined the superyacht concept, profoundly influencing the yachting industry and inspiring a new generation of yachts. Heywood himself stated that many subsequent yachts owe their DNA to the incredible design of CARINTHIA VII.

I am very proud – comments Peter Lürssen , managing partner of Lürssen – After building CARINTHIA VII, we can now see her given a new life thanks to the splendid refit work that has been dedicated to her. She is a very distinctive vessel and is a testament to the solidity of German engineering and manufacturing”.

CARINTHIA VII was built in 2002 for Heidi Horten , the widow of department store owner Helmut Horten, and for almost two decades it remained a hidden gem: access to its luxurious interior was only allowed to a privileged few. However, with its recent entry on the charter market, represented exclusively by Fraser, this extraordinary jewel is finally accessible to a wider audience, guaranteeing unforgettable experiences on board one of the most exclusive yachts in the world.

When we talk to customers – explains Mark Duncan , Fraser Director of Business Development & Marketing – it’s fascinating to hear what aspects of their experience they bring with them. For some it is the crew, the food, the accessories and the places they have visited. For others, however, the magic is the yacht itself: the layouts, the design, the space and its characteristics. CARINTHIA VII will be part of many stories of unforgettable moments of those who decide to reserve this exceptional experience.”

But what more could you ask from a Superyacht? Completely built in steel, it can accommodate 14 people in 8 luxurious cabins . An incredible amount of light that enters through her large windows allows to illuminate her refined interiors which naturally include a forward-facing owner’s suite with separate deck area, complete with office. One VIP stateroom is located on the owner’s deck, complete with a beauty salon, while the other six are located on the main deck.

There is also a hammam , a sauna , a steam shower , a refined fitness room and the new 12-metre (39-foot) long swimming pool , all elements that add a note of luxurious relaxation and well-being. It is also equipped with a “touch-and-go” helipad in the bow and a garage for two 8.80-metre tenders and all that is needed for leisure on the water.

An imposing superyacht that naturally needs the support of a large crew, and in fact can accommodate up to 37 crew members, with accommodation divided over two decks, which allows them to move discreetly.

Bringing any yacht to the charter market for the first time is always a joy and a challenge – says Daniela de Marco , Fraser Head of Charter Management, Europe – It’s like starting with a blank sheet of paper, creating a completely new program on experience with the best charter captains and crew, adopting the latest technologies and accessories on the market and creating with the clients some new personalized and exciting itineraries. It is truly a privilege and a pleasure that we look forward to offering our customers“.

CARINTHIA VII is more than just a yacht, it is an unparalleled creation destined to conquer the luxury charter market. A story that continues over time and that manages to surpass itself every time, leaving an indelible mark on the nautical industry and on the most refined travel experiences in the world.

Grand ceremony for the launching of M/Y ANJELIF, the brand-new Columbus 50-metre custom superyacht that, built entirely in aluminium, has been designed for a highly demanding and experienced owner.

This is a decidedly innovative superyacht and not only because of its hybrid, diesel-electric propulsion.

This superyacht, in fact, makes use of two distinct and highly advanced technologies: one through the application of cold plasma for the sanitization of air coming from outside and used both for ventilation and air conditioning;

the other one dedicated to room sanitization at preset intervals to ensure daily safety.

Exteriors and interiors are by Marco Casali of Too-Design while the engineering is by the Palumbo Superyachts team. The interior design has been rigorously developed with natural and ecological materials and includes a gym on the main deck, a sauna, massage room.

The swimming pool in the transom with exposed teak finish is of very scenic effect, while a second Jacuzzi is located on the top deck.

Columbus Custom 50m M:Y Anjelif aerial view

At the bow, we find a functional zone complete with sunbathing area and a touch & go helicopter docking platform which can be eventually transformed into an open-air cinema.

The layout includes 4 decks, with the master cabin positioned on the main deck forward and 4 double cabins below deck. The crew is made up of 11 members accommodated in 7 cabins.

Columbus Custom 50m has a 499 GT gross tonnage and can reach a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of 3000 nautical miles at 12 knots. The diesel engine system includes 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M96L of 1939 kW each, while 2 x 175 kW Kohler generators make up for the electric one.

The hybrid system provides for the possibility of using two electric motors in diesel-electric propulsion with a power of 100 kW each for a speed of approximately 9 knots. The electric motors coupled with the propulsion motors, can in turn be used as shaft generators, allowing navigation with the gen-sets off.

Columbus Custom 50m will have her world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023.

Milele sets sail on her inaugural journey, carrying with her an unprecedented aura of luxury and style, perfectly encapsulated in this elegant 45-metre superyacht.

The anticipation to admire Milele is palpable, as this magnificent yacht will make its world debut soon, at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023, ready to reveal itself to yachting enthusiasts from all over the globe, just like its destinations.

In fact, thanks to the naval architecture by Van Oossanen, this all-aluminium 45-metre yacht is designed for transoceanic cruises, capable of exceptional sailing capabilities, speed and incredible range.

The exterior design is a collaborative effort between the renowned OMEGA team and the visionary owner, while the interior design was brought to life by the owner and Martin Hanff.

Milele catches the eye with her clear and clean lines, which translate into a sturdy and imposing exterior profile. The owner has been intricately involved in refining the exterior design, adding innovative details that truly contribute to customize this yacht.

MileleNotable features include scooped bulwarks, which provide unobstructed views of the surroundings, custom-designed stainless steel handrails which add a touch of sophistication and unique deck furniture tailored to each deck for an improved guest experience. The removal of the rub rail further contributes to a streamlined and polished appearance.

Below the waterline, MILELE incorporates Van Oossanen’s patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) in conjunction with the Hull Vane. This underwater spoiler, positioned beneath the stern, effectively reduces fuel consumption and ship motions by an impressive average of 20 to 25%. The result is an enhanced onboard experience, characterized by improved comfort and stability.

Coupled with the advanced hull features, MILELE’s two 2580 kW MTUs (type 12V 4000 M93L) diesel engines, along with two electric booster engines, propel the yacht to remarkable speeds. Reaching an impressive top speed of 25.5 knots, MILELE outpaces most superyachts of her size. Even at a steady cruising speed of 12 knots, she boasts transatlantic capabilities with a range of 3800 nautical miles.

Furthermore, MILELE offers an electric-only drive mode, allowing her owners to explore sensitive ecological areas while minimizing their environmental impact. The yacht’s dynamic positioning system eliminates the need for anchors, ensuring the preservation of these delicate locations.

On board Milele, spacious accommodations fit for a discerning owner. The main deck features an opulent owner’s suite, complete with a private office. On the lower deck, three guest staterooms await, each exuding an unparalleled luxury ambiance. The design of the furnishings, personally supervised by the owner, is highly innovative, yet cosy and elegant.

Outdoor space is abundant, with a well-protected foredeck lounge area, a sun deck, and ample room on the bridge and main decks. For those seeking a bit of adventure, MILELE offers a fully equipped gym for guests to stay active. In addition to the standard array of water toys, an extraordinary two-person submarine is available, providing a captivating opportunity to explore the wonders of the underwater world.

Supervising the construction of Milele was Zucker with a Partner from Hamburg, while the experienced team at Ocean Independence assumes operational management. Peter Hürzeler, the CEO of Ocean Independence, who oversaw the sale of the project, shares his enthusiasm about MILELE’s delivery, stating,“With MILELE, one of the most exciting yachts built in recent years has just arrived in the Mediterranean. Her style, speed, and technical features truly make her stand out. It’s truly wonderful when visionary owners turn their ideas into reality “.

MILELE embodies the quintessence of elegance, luxury and innovation of yachting. She captivates the imagination and is destined to leave a strong mark on the industry.

Diving into the world of the Extra X99 Fast means abandoning yourself to a dream of power, luxury and sophistication. This extraordinary boat, resulting from the exceptional naval architecture work of Palumbo Superyachts and the Guida Design studio’s attention to aesthetic details, embodies the excellence of luxury yachts.

A 30-metre model, with a planing hull in composite and carbon fibre, that rides the waves reaching a maximum speed of 37 knots. The exterior of this marine jewel, with its unmistakable lines, is a perfect symbiosis of marked personality, dynamism and modern Mediterranean flair.

Majestic and unforgettable, the focal point of the Extra X99 Fast is certainly the stern, an oasis of wellbeing and conviviality extending over 75 square metres of pure pleasure. Here, thanks to fold-down balconies hat open out towards the sea, three different areas follow one another harmoniously: the beach area, perfect for relaxing in the sun and enjoying the sea,the lounge area with comfortable sundecks and sofas, and the dining area, where an extendable table can seat up to 12 guests, accompanied by a versatile multi-purpose console. The desired effect is that of a return to nature, sea and leisure.

Once aboard, the interior by Luca Dini – Design & Architecture studio enchant the guests with their timeless elegance. The selected nuances of sand harmoniously merge with the inserts of steel and leather in different shades of grey, as well as natural leather coverings on walls and floor.

The environment is embellished by the use of square oak strips that alternate with a uniform rhythm, generating coverings with rigorous and symmetrical lines. All interspersed with smoked-effect black lacquered glass which add a touch of mystery. The attention to the detail is perceivable in the scrupulous use of marble, the Calacatta Borghini and the Golden Spider appear below deck to embellish convivial and reserved corners.

The interior layout merges with the exterior one thanks to the aft galley which, through an up/down glass partition, is able to enliven more informal moments or become a space for the exclusive use of the chef.

The transformism typical of the Extra models signifies the search for innovative and flexible solutions for the daily use of the boat. The main deck saloon offers great comfort and in addition to the enveloping L-shaped sofa with armchairs there is also a comfortable bar. The coffee tables serving the sofas can be transformed into a table thanks to an up/down mechanism, to ensure a second internal dining area.

The panoramic terrace of this superyacht, accessible through an external staircase on the starboard side, reserves maximum privacy and is furnished with several sun loungers, a dining table with up/down movement and a bar.

Below deck, we find 4 cabins, two of which with twin beds and a pulman bed, a VIP cabin and the owner’s cabin positioned amidships to take advantage of the 7.3-metre maximum beam. The 4-metre tender is housed in a dedicated garage on the starboard side.

Driven by two 2600hp MTU engines combined with water jets, at maximum speed X99 Fast enjoys stability and great maneuverability as well as being absolutely silent below deck for extreme comfort on board.

In conclusion, we are talking about something really extraordinary, which fully embodies the values of Extra Yachts. The latter is a brand of ISA yachts and belongs to the Palumbo Superyachts group. The same values based on over 50 years of experience, attention to detal and top-class construction quality.

The X99 Fast model, optimized for the American market, will be exhibited at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 and subsequently based in Miami.

Eni Azimut | Benetti biofuelAn important step towards the decarbonisation of the yachting industry has been taken with the announcement of the agreement between Azimut | Benetti Group and Eni Sustainable Mobility for the supply and use of HVOlution biofuel. This agreement marks a historic moment for the yachting sector, as it represents the first concrete commitment towards the use of 100% sustainable fuels in the sector of large yachts.

HVOlution is an innovative biofuel produced entirely from renewable raw materials. This fuel consists of 100% HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) and is produced in Eni Sustainable Mobility’s biorefineries in Venice and Gela, using vegetable waste, residues and oils generated by crops that do not compete with the food industry. The production process of HVOlution is based on a circular economy model applied to mobility, thus contributing to environmental sustainability.

HVOlution can deliver emissions reductions of up to 90% compared to traditional fossil fuels, depending on the raw materials used for its production. This represents a major step forward for the yachting industry in the fight against climate change and the adoption of more sustainable practices.

Eni Azimut | Benetti biofuelThis first supply of biofuel to the recreational boating industry confirms that Eni Sustainable Mobility can support maritime operators on the path to decarbonisation. The agreement with Azimut|Benetti Group is a first step that will be followed in the coming months with increased sales of HVOlution to the maritime industry as well, ” said Stefano Ballista, CEO of Eni Sustainable Mobility

Starting in summer 2023, Azimut|Benetti Group will introduce HVOlution to replace the fossil-based fuel currently used for the technical testing of new yachts, sea trials and prototype model handling. Owners will also be able to take delivery of new Azimut models with HVOlution biofuel in the tank, thus proving the Azimut|Benetti Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

For Azimut|Benetti Group, this agreement is a tangible step forward on the course we have charted out to reduce CO2 emissions. It is a result that enables us to extend our area of action in emissions reduction by involving the supply chain, with a focus on energy decarbonisation. At the present time, over half of Azimut’s fleet is made up of Low Emission Yachts, while Benetti has built the world’s largest hybrid yacht as well as winning the ‘Green yacht of the year 2022’ award with the 37-metre Byond “said Azimut|Benetti Group President Giovanna Vitelli.

biofuelThe collaboration between Azimut|Benetti Group and Eni Sustainable Mobility will be kicked off in early June by the first voyage of Azimut’s new Magellano 60, which will travel from Savona to Taormina for her international premiere at the “Yachting Gala”. This prestigious event is organised by Azimut for over 600 owners from around the world who will be therefore able to admire the new biofuel-propelled yacht and appreciate its eco-friendly performance.

Future projects to develop the distribution network are on the horizon for the partnership between Azimut|Benetti Group and Eni Sustainable Mobility, so providing better access to biofuel and offering owners the possibility of refuelling with HVO. In the initial phase involving bunkering operations, the plan will target Azimut|Benetti Group marinas as the first points of supply for private individuals in Italy.

This agreement marks an important step towards a more environmentally sustainable yachting sector, and the Azimut | Benetti Group once again confirms itself as a leader in the field of innovation and commitment to environmental protection.

Hydro Tec AcalaHydro Tec’s winning strake in the segment of the boating industry specialized in medium-to-large-sized explorer yachts continues. The latest triumph for Hydro Tec was achieved thanks to the Motor Yacht Explorer Acala, awarded in the category “best displacement 499GT and below, from 40m to 44.9m” at the prestigious World Superyacht Awards 2023..

Over the past three years, the company has collected numerous awards and accolades, consolidating its position as an industry leader. This success is the third in a row for Hydro Tec which, in 2021 and 2022 triumphed always in the class below 499 GT, respectively with the first Flexplorer launched by Cantiere delle Marche, M/Y Aurelia, and with the first 38-meter Rosetti, M/Y Emocean. These awards testifyto the strong impact of the company in the most coveted and trendy sector of yachting, where for more than a decade, Hydro Tec has earned ample space, thanks to the high standard of professionalism and experience achieved.

The success of Acala is the result of teamwork that has consolidated over the years and is the outcome of Hydro Tec’s integrated approach. The company is able, both when it deals only with the naval architecture of a project or while dealing with the whole project in a holistic way, taking care of both, the design and engineering, to maximize the result, designing yachts easy to build, efficient, safe and with recognizable and timeless exterior lines.

Acala was commissioned by a repeat client who previously owned a Darwin 102 and who has chosen Hydro Tec again to fully meet his thirst for adventure. The new yacht is designed to cruise both in the Med and sail the expanses of the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic, thus allowing the owner to reach remote destinations and the best diving spots in the world.

Acala boasts full displacement naval architecture by Hydro Tec, offering a large volume (499GT) and the smoothest of travel even in rough seas ensuring excellent comfort and total safety. The engineering was developed by the yard’s technical department in collaboration with Hydro Tec. Like all explorer yachts built by Cantiere delle Marche, it features a thick and robust steel hull and a light aluminum superstructure.

The hull was specially designed to ensure high levels of efficiency and performance at sea. The forward sections, including the bulbous bow, were designed to improve penetration and reduce wave formation. Hull volumes were distributed according to weight distribution, while hydrodynamic analysis was constantly compared with trim, stability, and propulsion system design to achieve the best results.

The result is a sturdy hull with concave sections aft to allow the proper clearance to the propeller and, then, keep noise and vibration very low. Acala is also provided with single skeg, V-brackets and twin suspended rudders. The central section is quite “full” but with generous deadrise to keep the fuel capacity but still suitably streamlined in order to ensure a soft riding and a good directional stability.

With a total length of 43.10 meters, a beam of 8.60m, Acala features a gross tonnage of 499GT and 62,400 liters of fuel capacity. Power comes from twin Caterpillar C32 Acert engines of 746kW each, allowing a range of above 5,000 nm at 10 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. The engine room with its redundant equipment allows one to sail far and wide and to reach remote areas of the globe where it is impossible to access any sort of assistance.

Acala is also distinguished by functional and elegant interior, with five guest cabins on the lower deck alongside a roomy crew mess opposite a professional galley. The captain has his own cabin on the upper deck next to the wheelhouse.

With the triumph of Acala at the World Superyacht Awards 2023, Hydro Tec confirms its prominent position in the luxury explorer yacht industry. With its expertise and integrated approach to design, the company continues to offer innovative, high-performance solutions for recreational boaters, meeting their needs for adventure and comfort.

Floating Life unveils its latest project, the Kiribati 38, a high-levelexplorer yacht designed with the aim of allowing owners and their guests to experience the sea for a long time and to reach even the most distant destinations in our hemisphere.

Visually seductive thanks to its bold, modern exterior lines, in its substance it is absolutely high-performance. The hull was designed and tested by Andrea Pezzini, director and co-founder of Floating Life, in collaboration with Zero13 studio, to optimize fluid dynamics and reduce fuel consumption at all speeds while ensuring safe and comfortable navigation.

The design boasts a 5,000nm-range at 10 knots and ample storage capacity for supplies and water, made possible by the philosophy behind this superyacht which can be summed up in three words: efficiency, reliability and robustness.

The hull design, combined with the use of CFD as well as tank tests, has led to important results in terms of efficiency of the hull and its appendages, increasing hydrodynamic efficiency by 10% compared to a similar hull and an equal tonnage with consequent reduction in consumption– says Emilio D’Onofrio of Zero13 studio – “Moreover, the balance achieved between the hull volumes and the geometrical centres guarantees excellent sea keeping, also verified by the tests carried out at the CNR-INSEAN Institute of Marine Engineering in Rome”. This true masterpiece result from the joint collaboration between Floating Liferesponsible for the concept and design, engineering and international sales, the CCN-Gruppo Baglietto shipyard for its construction, Zero13 studio for the naval architecture and Satura Studio for the interior and exterior design.

The study done for Kiribati 38 focused on the possibility to use two different types of propulsion without changing the dimensions and shapes; making it possible to mount both a traditional and a full electric propulsion.” – explains Andrea Pezzini of Floating Life –“For this reason we have reworked the hull shapes together with Zero13 studio, so as to be able to reduce the applied power to a minimum, while still maintaining the promised range. The study of each dimensioning and system has been revised to optimize both performance and weight, without however reducing in any way the reliability and sturdiness that an Explorer, called to go around the world, must have “.

With a length of 38.7 meters and a beam of 8,50 meters, Kiribati 38 offers extraordinarily ample volumes. Inside, the large and private owner’s area is located forward of the main deck and boasts a study with a sitting area at the entrance, a spacious full-beam cabin, a dressing room and two separate bathrooms with a large shared shower. The other 10 guests find accommodation on the lower deck across five comfortable and independent suites equipped with all amenities. Separate crew quarters for eight people across four cabins with a laundry room, a crew mess and a remarkably well-equipped and very functional professional galley.

The most important features of this boat are the absolutely unique volumes in her category – – explains Francesco Viola of Satura Studiop- A 38-metre with five decks and an uninterrupted lower deck layout, capable of connecting the cabins directly with the beach area. The exterior design developed around straight and pure lines, and the surfaces, by connecting with each other, give her a marine, impressive, pure and elegant character .”

The external layout offers five other external areas to ensure great privacy.A tender up to 6 meters an be housed in a tender garage inside the gym.STS_FL38_Kiribati_ext_16

Equally refined is the solution adopted for the arrangement of the engines on the under lower deck which allows for a lower deck layout to be arranged on one level, thus enabling the guest cabins to be located on the lower deck giving direct access to the beach platform through a gym area.

The Kiribati 38 is a true Explorer yacht, without compromises, conceived for long-range voyagesin complete safety and great comfort.” – explains Filippo Rossi, CCO of Floating Life –With a range of 5,000 nautical miles she offers exceptional autonomy. Her name is inspired by the Kiribati Islands, an archipelago in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, which has always been a safe haven for ocean explorers, so there could not be a better name for a project with these characteristics “.

With a starting price of 23 million Euros, the delivery of the Kiribati 38 is expected in 24 months from the start of construction entrusted to CCN, a division of the Baglietto Group while Floating Life’s Charter&Brokerage division has the worldwide central agency for this project to promote and sell it on the international market.
